OSCVI and Kincardine Win West Hill Volleyball Tournament

The best girls volleyball teams squared off in Owen Sound for the 10th annual West Hill invitational. In the end OSCVI of Owen Sound took the senior tournament while Kincardine won the junior event.

On their way to the final, OSCVI ended the round robin portion in first place, moving on to play Georgian Bay Secondary of Meaford in the final. The girls from Owen Sound took the match 25-22 and 25-22 in both sets.

Kincardine also finished tops in their division. In the semi-finals they beat the hosts West Hill 2 sets to 1. The final put the Knights against Wellington Heights of Mount Forest, also going 2 sets to 1. After dropping the first 21-25, the champs came back to win 25-18 and 15-6.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
