SOJHL: Exeter Hawks Keep Rolling On Mt.Brydges

Second round play in SOJHL playoffs now goes to 2-0 in favour of the Exeter Hawks after a 4-1 win over the Mt.Brydges Bulldogs.

Clinton native Cam Dykstra opened the scoring in the first, taking that lead into the break. The Hawks peppered Bulldogs goalie Paul Town with 16 shots in the opening frame.

Star forward Chase Thornton would pot a shorthanded marker in the second. The goal gives him 17 points in just 5 playoff games. Max Naus would add another to make it 3-0 after 2.

In the third Mt.Brydges would find the scoresheet before Tyler Coleman added a final tally for Exeter. James Morreau stopped 26 shots in the victory.

Game 3 goes Saturday night in Mt.Brydges at 7:30
