Battle For Wellington County In WOAA Senior Playoffs

The WOAA Senior semi-finals are all set for the 'AA' playoffs. Elora will face their Wellington county rivals in Mapleton-Minto in the best of 7 series.

Both teams come in having won their previous round in 6 games. Elora downed Durham 4-2 while Mapleton-Minto edged Saugeen Shores by the same margin.

It has the makings for a close series with the sides splitting the season series 2-2.

Elora will look to John Lunney to carry the offense, he leads all players in playoff scoring with 14 points in 6 games. Mapleton-Minto has spread their scoring around with multiple players sitting on 5 points.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
