Local Lacrosse Player on Pace For 100+ Point Season

In 18 NLL games last season, Lion's Head native Rob Hellyer had 79 points. In half that amount of games in 2015, he is already narrowing in on that number.

The Toronto Rock forward has 23 goals and 37 assists for 60 points in just 9 games so far this season, an average of just under 7 per game. At that pace he would score near 120 points by seasons end.

Hellyer's stats took a big jump with a 10 point night on Friday against Edmonton in a 16-15 win for the Rock.

Casey Beirnes of Elora had 5 points for Toronto in the game.

Around the League:

Owen Sound's Adam Jones continues to lead Colorado after an 8 point night in a 14-11 loss to Buffalo Saturday.

Rookie Shane MacDonald had a hat-trick points for Minnesota. The Elora native's team lost 21-15 to Vancouver.
