High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

The Colorado Avalanche announced on Twitter that he will be called up from the AHL's Lake Erie Monsters:</p><p>

With the Monsters this season Hishon has 14 goals and 18 assists. He has played for the Avs in the past, with 3 games in the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs, registering an assist.</p><p>
The Avalanche are using the call up to fill some holes coming about after recent trades. Spots have become vacant with Max Talbot and Paul Carey being dealt.</p><p>
Colorado hosts Pittsburgh tomorrow night.</p><p>
