Wingham Goalie Named OUA Second Team All-Star

Greg Dodds capped off a strong second season of University hockey by being named a Second Team All-Star by the OUA.

The Wingham native was given the reigns as the number one goaltender at Western University in London this season and he lived up to the expectations.

Dodds started the season with the top stats among all goaltenders in Ontario and top 5 in the country, earning athlete of the week honors along the way. He ended the season with a record of 14-7-0 as the Mustangs finished second in the Western Conference.

Along with solid record, Dodds finished in the top 10 for a number of categories among goaltenders. He was 2nd in wins (14), 6th in goals-against-average (2.45), 6th in save percentage (.919) and 10th in saves (590). He also stacked up in the top 20 nationally among all university goalies.

In the playoffs, Western was bounced out in two straight games by Lakehead.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
