Listowel Drop Out of GOJHL Playoffs

The Listowel Cyclones are out of the GOJHL Playoffs.

The seventh-ranked Cycs fell to the second-placed Kitchener Dutchmen 6-2 in Kitchener on Thursday, dropping the first-round series 4-1.

Brady Anderson and Tim Nauta scored for the Cyclones with both goals coming in the third period.

Ryan Hergott made 31 saves in a valiant effort in goal for the Cyclones.This is the second year in a row Listowel has fallen to the Dutchmen in the first round. Last season, Kitchener swept the Cycs 4-0.
Kitchener now joins Elmira and Waterloo in the Midwestern Conference Semi Finals. Stratford could join those three clubs with a win on Friday night against Cambridge. They are up 3-1 in their series with the Winterhawks.
