High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

<p>The Listowel Cyclones are out of the GOJHL Playoffs.</p><p>
The seventh-ranked Cycs fell to the second-placed Kitchener Dutchmen 6-2 in Kitchener on Thursday, dropping the first-round series 4-1.</p><p>
Brady Anderson and Tim Nauta scored for the Cyclones with both goals coming in the third period.
<div>Ryan Hergott made 31 saves in a valiant effort in goal for the Cyclones.This is the second year in a row Listowel has fallen to the Dutchmen in the first round. Last season, Kitchener swept the Cycs 4-0.</div>

<div>Kitchener now joins Elmira and Waterloo in the Midwestern Conference Semi Finals. Stratford could join those three clubs with a win on Friday night against Cambridge. They are up 3-1 in their series with the Winterhawks.</div>
