Local Players Make ECAC All-Star List

A pair of local hockey players were honoured across the boarder as the ECAC named their 2015 all stars.

Shallow Lake native Shea Tiley and Exeter's Cayley Mercer were both recognized for strong seasons with the Clarkson Goldern Knights.

Tiley, a goaltender, led the league in goals against average, save percentage, and wins to lead the Knights to their second straight conference regular season title. She was named ECAC Goaltender of the Year and Rookie of the Year as well as a first team All-Star.

She is the daughter of Brad Tiley, a former NHL player and current coach of the Walkerton Hawks.

Mercer led the team in scoring with 24 goals and 43 points this season. She was also named a first team All-Star. She is the sister of OHL forward Cullen Mercer, who plays for the Plymouth Whalers.
