Alliston Forces Game 7

The Alliston Hornets made home ice count in Game 6 of the Schmalz Cup Quarter-Finals, defeating Walkerton 6-2.

Alliston scored in the first period and never looked back, holding the lead for the entire game. Walkerton got to within one goal at one point in the second period and that is as close as they got.

The Hawks only managed 19 shots on the Alliston net and was 0-for-5 on the power play. Alliston was able to score twice in four attempts.

Lachlin Elder and Reid Simmons were the goal scorers for Walkerton.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
