Kevin Pollock Refs 1000th NHL Game

Kincardine's Kevin Pollock hit a milestone in his NHL reffing career on the weekend.

On Sunday, Pollock called his 1000th NHL game, a 3-2 shootout win for Pittsburgh over San Jose. The 45-year-old was honoured ahead of that game.

Pollock has been officiating in the league since March 8th, 2000 in a game between the New York Islanders and the Nashville Predators.

Over his career Pollock has called games in the Stanley Cup playoffs, The World Cup of Hockey and more recently the Sochi Olympics.
