Rock Miss Lion's Head Native Hellyer In Loss

Without top offensive threat Rob Hellyer, the Toronto Rock offence was quiet in an 11-7 loss to Rochester. Lion's Head native Hellyer missed his second straight game with an upper body injury.

After going on the 10 day disabled list, the game was the first chance for the Rock to get their star back since going down. They are now 1-1 without him.

At the time of his injury, Hellyer was leading the league with 83 points, on pace to break the single season record of 116.

Elora's Kasey Beirnes picked up some of the slack in the loss. He had a hat-trick and an assist. Arthur's Rob Marshall, a defenseman, did not feature in the scoring.

The Rock will hope to have Hellyer back in time for next Friday's meeting with Vancouver.
