Tillsonburg Win WOAA Senior AA Title

The Tillsonburg Thunder are the 2015 WOAA Senior AA champions after a 5-1 victory over Mapleton-Minto.

Hosting game 5 of the best of 7, the Thunder hoped to give their home fans a championship, up 3-1 heading in. One of those fans was NFL'er Auston Pasztor, who went to high school in town:

Tillsonburg led 2-0 until the dying minutes of the second, when Mapleton-Minto got one back.

The Thunder pulled away with 3 goals in the final period to take the victory and the series.

This is their first WOAA Senior AA championship in the team's history.

In the A division final Shallow Lake took a 3-1 lead with a 6-4 win over Ripley. Adam Smyth led the way for the Crushers with a hat-trick.
