Firefighters and Police Face Off In Charity Game

Firefighters and Police officers from Huron County will battle on the ice in the name of charity.

The Goderich detachment of the Huron County OPP will be taking on the Goderich Fire Department in the "Guns-N-Hoses" hockey game.

Proceeds from the games are going to the Dave Mounsey Memorial Fund and the YMCA Strong Kids while the DMMF will be honouring District Deputy Chief Kenneth Rea of the North Perth Fire Service with a special defibrillator presentation. Rea was killed in the line of duty in 2011.

Puck drop for the game is 3:00 on Saturday, April 11. Advance tickets are available at the front desk of the Goderich YMCA.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
