Hanover Joins Thames Valley Senior Baseball League

The Thames Valley Senior Baseball League is extending its reach to Hanover.

Two new teams will play this summer with the Hanover Hitmen joining Lucan as the newcomers to the 7 team league stretching from St. Thomas to Grey/Bruce.

 However the local contingent will remain at 3 teams with Hanover, Mitchell and defending champs Kincardine.  The Listowel Legionnaires will not be fielding a team this season.
The Hitmen will play their first game as part of the season opener in Mitchell May 22nd.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
