NorthStars Start Season With 10-7 Loss In Hamilton

The Owen Sound NorthStars opened their Ontario Jr. B Lacrosse League season with a loss in Hamilton on Saturday night, falling to the Bengals 10-7.

After ending the first period down 3-0, the NorthStars pulled the score to 7-7 by the halfway-point of the third period. However, the Bengals, who were playing their fourth game of the season, pulled ahead with three unanswered goals to go to a record of 2-2.

Owen Sound's Spencer Elder lead the game with three goals. Jake McNabb had a game-high six points.

The 0-1 NorthStars will head to Orangeville to take on the Northmen on Monday.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
