Peninsula Duo Come Back From Injury To Lead Toronto Rock To Top Seed In NLL

Lion's Head's Rob Hellyer and Wiarton resident Colin Doyle combined for nine points to lead their Toronto Rock to a 10-7 win over New England on Friday night.

Hellyer, who was the National Lacrosse League's leading scorer before being sidelined with an upper body injury in March, made his return to the lineup with a four-assist performance at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.

Doyle, who sat out the entire regular season with a shoulder injury, had a game-high five points in his first game of the 2015 season.

With the win, the 14-4 Rock have clinched top spot in the NLL and a bye to the East Division Final. Toronto will play the winner of the East Division Semi-Final, between Rochester and Buffalo, on May 23rd.

They will await the winner of the East Division Semi-Final, which will feature Rochester and Buffalo. The Rock will host the East Division Final on May 23rd.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
