Local Players Taking Part In Memorial Cup

Two local players are one night away from their opening game at the 2015 Memorial Cup.

Arthur's Brent Pedersen and Londesborough's Kenny Heuther are with the Oshawa Generals in Quebec City.

Pedersen has played in every game so far in the Generals run to an OHL championship, which qualified them for the Memorial Cup. Heuther has been scratched for most of the post season after playing 55 games in his rookie campaign.

Oshawa opens the tournament Saturday night against Quebec Junior League champs Rimouski (Re-moose-ski).

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
