North Stars Go Down In St. Catherines

The Owen Sound North Stars slow start to the Junior B lacrosse season continued with a 12-9 loss in St. Catherines Sunday.

It was a penalty filled game with the two teams combining for 180 minutes. Offensively, Jordan Caskenette led the way in a losing effort with 4 points.

With the loss Owen Sound is now 2-8 after their first ten games of the season.

They are back in action Monday night in Orangeville against powerhouse Northmen, who have 10 wins in their first 11 games.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
