Local Ref Named OHA Most Dedicated Official

Owen Sounder Dean Grahame was named the OHA Jack Clancy award winner as the association's most dedicated official for the 2014-15 season.

The 39-year-old referee called a number of games around the province this season at the junior B and C levels.

Some of the highlights of this season included calling the semi finals of both the Schmalz Cup and the Cherrey Cup.

Grahame is a Hockey Canada level 5 ref and has been with the OHA since 1994. The association also recognized his mentoring of younger officials along with his commitment and dedication to the OHA.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
