North Stars Keep Pace With Northmen

In the only game on the Junior B Lacrosse schedule the Owen Sound North Stars gave Orangeville a run in a tight 7-6 loss.

North Stars goalie Garrett Reed stopped 38 shots to keep his team in the game as Owen Sound looked to improve on a 2-8 record. The now 11-1 Northmen dominated the early stages of each period, scoring 5 of their goals in the first 10 minutes of both the first and second frames. The Northstars would claw back each time but couldn't find the tying goal late in the game.

Ben Watson led the offence for Owen Sound with a hat-trick. 4 other players chipped in with singles.

The North Stars get back on the floor Thursday at home to Elora.
