Local Athletes Bring Medals Home from OFSAA

A couple of local athletes are bringing home medals from the OFSAA Track And Field Championships in Toronto.

Tony Elliott of Sacred Heart High School in Walkerton won gold yesterday in the Junior Boys discus with a 56.21m effort. Tony also is a member of the Saugeen Track and Field Club in Port Elgin..

Central Huron's Mackenzie Josie is taking home a silver medal in Senior Boys Shot Put.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
