North Stars Go Down At Home

Six Nations were not kind to their hosts from Owen Sound in Sunday Junior B Lacrosse action. The Rebels crushed the Northstars 14-3 at the Bayshore.

Garrett Reed went the distance in goal for Owen Sound, facing 53 shots by the end of the game. The hosts managed 33 shots but would only solve Rebels goalie Briley Miller once in each period.

Jake Lee led the offence for Owen Sound with a pair of goals.

The North Stars are now 3-12-1 on the season. Their next game is Saturday at home to Niagara.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
