OFSAA Medal Round Up

Four local high school athletes are returning to school today with medals from the OFSAA Track and Field meet with was held in Toronto from June 4-6.

In men's events, Mackenzie Josie of Central Huron in Clinton won gold in the senior discus and threw for a silver in the shot put. Tony Elliott of Sacred Heart in Walkerton won gold in junior discus. Cody Pauli of Mitchell District earned silver in the senior 400m hurdles.

In women's events, Lexi Aitken of St. Anne's, Clinton, won gold in the senior 100m hurdles.

The final day of competition was held on Saturday and below are the results of local athletes.

OFSAA Track and Field Saturday Results

Men Senior 400m Hurdles 2nd - Cody Pauli (Mitchell District) - 53.86 sec (winning time 53.76)

Junior 3000m 21st - Sam Nusselder (Saugeen District) - 9:33.10 (winning time 8:36.26)

Women Senior 400m Hurdles DNF - Lexi Aitken (St. Anne's Clinton)

Senior 3000m 10th - Jessie Nusselder (Saugeen District) - 10:24.27 (winning time 9:33.18)

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
