High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

A week after a malfunction in Quebec ended his race early Milverton's Scott Steckly had a top 10 finish in Innisfil.
Taking part in the Leland Industries 300 at Sunset Speedway, Steckly would finish 4th in the field of 20 cars at the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series event.
He qualified in second spot and took the lead out of the gate, staying in first the next 60 laps. After a bit of back an forth he was overtaken by Cayden Lapcevich before eventual winner Alex Tagliani took the lead for the rest of the race.
