High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

Stratford native and Saginaw Spirit defencemen Keaton Middleton was selected to try out for the U18 squad.</p><p>

<div>The U18 Selection Camp runs from July 31 to August 4. There are 43 players vying to represent Canada at the 2015 U18 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup August 10-15.</p><p>
The Under 17 Development Camp begins July 29th. 66 players will train to represent Canada on one of three national teams at the 2015 World Under 17 Hockey Challenge scheduled for the fall.</div></p>
