Busy Week at Walton Raceway

Monday kick started the busiest week of the year for Walton Raceway. The Parts Canada TransCan Grand National Championship runs from August 10th to 16th.

Opening ceremonies are set for Tuesday night with riders taking the track Wednesday morning. On the weekend the main races will take place including the National Pro MX1 Championship, which is highlighted by the presentation of the spectacular “King of Walton” sword to the overall winner during the final round.

1,000 motocross riders and 30,000 visitors come to Walton to experience what the track calls a “Celebration of Canadian Motocross.”

Along with the races Canadian Country Music Association Award winner and recent 2014 Juno award winner, Brett Kissel will be headlining the Huron County, Friday Night Throwdown, during The Parts Canada TransCan.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
