At the U21 Men's Canadian Fast Pitch Championships in Napanee, the New Hamburg - Stratford Cubs beat Tavistock 8-1.
Pitcher Matt Wardrop picked up the win.
The Cubs finish the round robin at 8-0 and is the top seeded team and will play the host team in the first playoff game tonight at 6 p.m. while Tavistock was 6-2 and is seeded third and will play Alberta at 8 p.m.

At the U18 Men's Canadian Fast Pitch Championships in Fredericton, NB, the New Hamburg Heat play Saskatoon this morning in their final round robin game at 9:30 a.m. in a battle of undefeated teams.
Both teams are 8-0.
Yesterday the New Hamburg Heat beat Fredericton, NB 16-2 and Campbellford, ON 8-4.
