Port Elgin Athlete Earns Second Silver At Parapan Am Games

At the Parapan AM Games in Toronto, Port Elgin's Josh Cassidy raced to another silver medal.

He was under a second behind the winner in the 800 m wheelchair race finishing with a time of 1:41.18. The winner, Alexandre Dupont from Quebeck, won. in 1:40.67.

Cassidy won a silver earlier this week in the 5000 m finishing just 4-100ths of a second behind the winner.

Cassidy will race in the 1500 m final today at 5:30 p.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
