Stratford Wins OBA Jr "AA" Championship

The Stratford Indians won the 2015 Ontario Baseball Association Junior "AA" Championship yesterday with a narrow 8-7 win over Guelph.

The team was undefeated through round-robin play lead by Port Elgin native Tyler Middleton who pitched a complete game in Saturday's 4-2 win over the defending champions from Windsor.

Guelph needed to beat the Indians twice to win the championship. Guelph took the first game 16-6 in 6 innings.

Guelph had a 7-3 lead going into the bottom of the 7th inning in the second game but Stratford managed to rally for an 8-7 win.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
