Cyclones Strong In Pre-Season

The Listowel Cyclones' roster continues to take shape as the GOJHL pre-season was back on the ice Friday. Listowel downed Elmira 6-2.

It was a young roster fielded by the local side, with former Grey-Bruce Highlander Eric Langridge led the way with 3 points on the night.

Head coach Jason Brooks says there is a lot of work to do but is happy with the players at his disposal.

"Everyone came into camp in shape which is big for us." Brooks said. "We want to be a fast team once again this season but there is still far from filling out the final roster."

Among those young players are a pair of local OHL prospects. Erie Otters property and former Wingham Ironman Holdyn Lansink had a goal and an assist on the night. Barrie Colts pick Kade Landry chipped in an assist while Guelph Storm prospect Jakob Lee also played for Listowel.

The Cyclones will play Waterloo in their next pre-season game on Sunday.
