Golf Tournament Raises Money for South Huron Trail Bridge

Close to 60 golfers took part in the 10th annual Friends of the South Huron Trail Golf Tournament at the Ironwoods Golf Course in Exeter Monday.Committee member Arnold Mathers explains the tournament was originally a fund-raiser for the trail from Exeter to the Morrison Dam but this year they were raising money for a predestrian bridge near the Morrison Dam.   It's because there are so many people crossing the road from one part of the trail to the other.

Mathers adds it's particularly dangerous in the winter.

The bridge will cost about 175-thousand dollars and the goal is to raise that money over the next two years.
