Palmerston Marlins Hold Try-Outs

The Palmerston Marlins Ladies Softball organization begins holding its annual Fall Try-out and Evaluation Camps next week.

Any girls interested in playing softball at a competitive level are invited to attend.

The camps are for midget, bantam 1 and 2, Novice and Squirt.

The squirt and novice camps are September 9, 14, 16 and 21 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

The bantam and midget camps are September 8, 10, 15, and 17 from 7pm to 9pm.

The camps are at Barb Wright Field, rain or shine.

The Marlins have declared all positions open so players on teams this past season are asked to plan on attending the camps to secure a position in the 2016 season.

Prospective players are asked to arrive 30 minutes prior to the start time to get registered and complete a full warm up.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
