Lightning China Face-Off In Wingham

The Saugeen-Maitland Midget "AA" Lightning is ready to host Team China's women's team in Wingham tomorrow night.

Tickets will be available at the door starting at 6:15 p.m. and the opening face-off is at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $7 each.

It's the second year in a row that the exhibition is being held at the North Huron Wescast Community Complex.

The Lightning is also encouraging spectators to bring a non-perishable food item as donations are being collected.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
