Big Home Win For Listowel Cyclones

The Listowel Cyclones beat the Guelph Hurricanes 5-2 at Listowel Arena on Friday night.

Listowel was dominant on special teams, scoring two power-play goals and negating all four of Guelph's man advantages. It could well have been a bigger scoreline, as Listowel missed on two separate 2 on 0's, and a 3 on 1 late in the second period.

Head coach Jason Brooks says he was "definitely happy" with the way his team played, saying "we battled hard for 60 minutes and found a way. After our last game, a tough loss to Elmira, we wanted to come out and get the job done here at home."

The Listowel Cyclones head to Cambridge tonight (Saturday, December 12, 2015) to face the Winter Hawks.

The puck drops at 7pm.
