Christmas Golf

A green Christmas means golfing is an option over the holidays.

Some golf courses in southern Ontario are staying open including Whispering Hills in Hanover.

"It's basically like you're playing in the spring," says GM Darrell Day. "It's a little moist but no one is complaining when the ball lands on the green and stops dead."

The last time Whispering Hills experienced staying open in December was in 1997 but that was before Day's time.

Milder weather across central and eastern Canada are helping keep many golf courses open including in larger markets such as Toronto and Montreal.
