Goderich Flyers Head Coach Optimistic For Future

Goderich Flyers head coach David Errington says it was a tough year for the team only registering 3 victories.

Errington was asked what he thinks the Flyers need in order to help make them a more competitive group.

"I think a big time goal scorer, who can help generate some more offense. We had a lot of grinding workhorses this year. So some more offense, and a couple big stud defensemen, too. Guys who make it tough for opponents in front of the net."

Errington was also asked about possibly taking over as GM. He says it is possible, but it's up to the board of directors to make that decision, which should come down later this month. The Flyers were swept in the first round of the playoffs by Kincardine, but despite the tough record, Errington says whether he's coach again or GM, he has a positive outlook for next year. Errington says "We are confident we can improve."
