Gold Medal Win for the Palmerston Marlins

The Palmerston Marlins Novice Girls Team can add another accolade to their list of accomplishments.

The girls managed to hold on with a number of wins at the U14 Women's Canadian Fastpitch Jamboree in Winnipeg, Manitoba this weekend capturing the gold medal in the Smitty's Playoff Round.

The Marlins defeated the Interlake Phillies 7-0 in the Smitty Terminator Gold Medal Game for the win.

The Palmerston Marlins Ladies Softball organization has been going strong since 1994 and continues to produce excellent players that go on to compete at both the Provincial and National levels in softball.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
