Zurich's Tyler Merner Competing in Obstacle Course Racing World Championships

A Zurich native is hoping to race his way to a great finish at the Obstacle Course Racing World Championships.

Tyler Merner, a 17-year-old from Zurich, Ontario, placed 1st in the 13-17 year age group, and 38th overall in Open Competitive Division 3km, 15 obstacles, Short Course Championship today. There was also a Pro Division. He will race tomorrow afternoon in the 13-17 year, 15km, 50 obstacles, Standard Course Championship. He is hoping for a top 10 finish.

The event is taking place in the Blue Mountains in Collingwood. There are 42 countries competing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
