Barons Sneak Out Of Kincardine With Win

The Hanover Barons were able to grab Game 1 of their quarter-final series with a 2-1 OT win over Kincardine.

The Barons' regular season leader, Justin Graham, scored at the 4:48 mark to end the game. Graham led Hanover with 44 points through the regular season.

It was a tight game statistically with both teams scoring their only goals in regulation 32 seconds apart in the first period. Colton Culbert scored for Hanover on the powerplay at the 8:00 mark. Kincardine responded a short time later when Mike Flegehen tied it up at 8:32.

It was quiet the rest of the way with neither team scoring through the latter part of the first period, the second or the third.

Ellis Braeden made 22 saves for Hanover while Malcolm Young made 26 saves for Kincardine.

Game 2 of the series is tonight in Hanover at 8:00pm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
