Local Ball Players Head To Dominican Republic

A big opportunity for a couple of local softball players.

Brussels' Ty Sebastian and Port Elgin's Blake Underwood have been named to Team Canada for the 2017 Pan American Championship in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in September.

Canada is one of 22 teams trying to qualify for one of the five spots in the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru.

Also on the team, Fergus' Ben Wideman and veteran's Bradley Ezekiel and Steve Mullaley who were on Canada's bronze medal winning team at the WBSC Men's World Softball Championships in Whitehorse, Yukon.
