Ironmen Make Trade With Junior B St. Marys

The Wingham Ironmen have made a swap with the St. Marys Lincolns of the GOJHL.

Leaving Wingham is defender Jacob Bishop, who in 29 games this year has 3 goals and 5 assists for 8 points. Coming the other way from St. Marys is forward Tanner Hertel, who put up 5 goals and 15 assists for 20 points in 28 games, and was an assistant captain.

Wingham currently sits tied for 4th in the PJHL Pollock Division with Mitchell at 36 points, while the Lincolns are having a tough year in the GOJHL Western Conference, dead last with just 16 points. The trade was confirmed earlier this morning.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
