Brussels Host Aussie Jr. Men's Softball Team Tonight

The Australian Jr. Men's Softball team is touring the area and tonight they stop in Brussels.

There will be a clinic for kids starting at 5 p.m. at the Optimist Park.

Brussels' Ty Sebastian is helping organize it.

"We'll pull some kids off to the side and more or less the throwing, fielding and hitting would be the three things the Aussie's really stress in games. That's basically what they mould their game after as far as focus on the throwing, fielding and hitting aspects of it."

Sebastian will then help lead the Tigers in a double header against the Australian squad, which may showcase a different strategy.

"The guys over there in Australia, the style of play they use is get the ball down, use some speed, do some slaps, where here it's more or less get up to the plate and go hacking and see how far you can hit it kind of thing sometimes."

The Australian team will play the Brussels Tigers in a double header starting at 7 p.m. with the second contest at 9 p.m.
