Owen Sound To Host 2019 U23 OASA Provincial Ball Tourney

Owen Sound have been awarded the right to host a prestigious ball tournament.

The City of Owen Sound will play host to the 2019 Ontario Amateur Softball Association’s U23 provincial tournament. The tournament, which will run July 5th to 7th, acts as a qualifier for the nationals, which will be held in Saskatoon later that month on July 31st, 2019.

The Cobourg Bulls will enter as defending champs after defeating the Tavistock Hops in a 4-0 shutout in the championship final this past July in Grafton, Ont. The Owen Sound Selects finished with the bronze medal in the 2018 tournament after they were bested by the Hops 8-5 in the semi-finals.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
