Patriots' push it to overtime

The Mount Forest Patriots put it all on the ice in order to stretch their series with Alliston to seven games.

But the Hornets' recent unblemished home record stood after Game 6, winning 3-2 in overtime.

Mount Forest held the lead twice in the game. Thomas Haffner opened the scoring in the first. Alliston responded with a short handed goal to tie it.

In the second period, Riley Cribbin gave the Patriots the lead. The 2-1 score would stand until Alliston tied it early in the third period.

Alliston forward Joey Visconti ended it with just over six minutes to play in OT. His second goal of the game.

The Patriots outshot Alliston 46-35.

Alliston has not lost at home through the playoffs.

The Hornets will face Napanee in the next round.
