Conners wraps up Masters appearance, Tiger bounces back to the top

Listowel's Corey Conners got off to an early start Sunday in his final round of The Masters.

Two bogeys and a birdie left him 1-over on the front nine. But he ran into challenges on the back nine, with a bogey on the 10th hole then a triple bogey on the par-3 12th.

In the end Conners would finish his round at 4-over on the day and was even for the tournament leaving him in a tie for 46th.

Conners witnessed plenty of highlights through the weekend, whether it be personal or for the sport.

That included, an eagle on the 15th in the first round, making the cut, meeting Jack Nicklaus, witnessing a near record by Tony Finau as he shot a 64 in the third round and Tiger Woods' comeback to win his fifth Masters.

Conners was one of only two Canadians in the field, Mike Weir was the other but did not make the cut.

And Conners also had plenty of support through the weekend with family and friends walking the course, their Facebook pages proudly displaying some pictures.

For Tiger Woods, he started the day chasing and finished it on top, winning his fifth green jacket, and his 15th major and ended it with a lot of hugs including one for his son who was waiting just off the 18th green.
