Ironmen bring back captain Carter Collinson for 2019-20 season

The Wingham Ironmen are bringing back a major piece of their core.

The Ironmen announced today they have re-signed defender Carter Collinson to come back this year. Collinson took home a handful of trophies last year including best defenceman and Pollock Division MVP as he smashed his previous season highs in goals, assists and points. He was also named OHA Junior C Player of the Year.

In 42 games last year, Collinson had 16 goals and 48 assists for 64 points. He had an additional 27 points in 16 playoff games. He is eligible for this season and next year, which would be his overage year.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
