Woodlands Links celebrates 20 years

Woodlands Links Golf Course, just outside Clinton, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Owner, Gord Lobb says it's actually been 25 years since he started designing the golf course he wanted and the time has gone by very quickly.

Lobb says for him one of the bonuses of owning the course is the people he meets on the golf course.

“At the end of the day, sure you have your bumps, but boy when you have a person come up and they talk to you and they appreciate what's going on and they comment on how things have really matured and look great, you feel like, boy, it does.”

The Woodland Links course is an Audubon course and that was done on purposed to reflect his previous work in conservation.

“So I wanted to keep that theme in place during the time we built the golf course, to maintain a lot of those principals. So that's the reason why we stayed with the Audubon aspect.”

There are several nature trails winding through the course and Lobb says they're used by individuals as well as groups interested in natural features found on the course.
