Kincardine Cubs compete in Hap Walters Tournament

One Midwestern Ontario team will be matching up with some of the best senior baseball squads in the province this weekend.

The Kincardine Cubs have been invited to participate in the Hap Walters Tournament, which has games in Milton, Mississauga, Oakville and Etobicoke over Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Cubs General Manager Greg Stepaniak feels his team is "right up there with the best teams in Ontario, and we feel we've gained the respect of those other teams as well".

Kincardine's first game is on Friday at 7:30pm in Oakville against the Central Ontario Baseball Association's Oakville A's.
