More medals for the Saugeen Track and Field Club at the nationals in Montreal

More hardware for the Saugeen Track and Field Club at the Canadian U20, Senior and Para Track and Field Championships in Montreal.

Emily Branderhorst tied for silver in the senior women's high jump, clearing 173 cm.

Rick Carr, a blind athlete, cleared 150 cm to win gold in F11 high jump. He is the current Canadian and world record holder with a height of 160 cm.

While he didn't medal, Jeremy Elliot had a personal best in hammer throw with a distance of 55.49 m.

The club's next meet is this weekend in Windsor at the the Athletics Ontario U14/U16/U18 Championships.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
