Two close games in PJHL Preseason play

Goderich 4 Lucan 3 (OT)

Jeff Fritzley scored the game winner 3:42 into overtime to lift the Goderich Flyers over the Lucan Irish 4-3.

Fritzley also had an assist in the win. Ethan Long's power play goal at 7:55 of the third sent the game into extra time.

Parker Gibbing led the Flyers with a pair of goals.

Wellesley 4 Hanover 3 (OT)

Zack Cameron scored with less than four minutes left in regulation but the Hanover Barons couldn't find the twine in OT and lost 4-3 to Wellesley.

The Barons were up 2-0 early in the second thanks to power play goals by Kyle Detweiler and Derek Cornfield.

The Applejacks scored two goals just over three minutes apart to tie the game heading into the third. Noah Benjamin put the Applejacks ahead just past the midway point of the final frame.
